Additional Details

The home is very cozy and energy efficient. It was built about 5 yrs ago and is situated on 20 acres. It is in excellent condition.

The land is a rolling hill and the cabin sits far back off the road, so you cant actually see it during the summer months because its obscured by all the trees.  There are trees along the road so that also affords privacy during the winter.

There are a lot of trees around the cabin, esp. in the back, and there is a low ground cover plant that grows to about ankle height, so you can walk through the woods around the house. The creek bank is lined with trees as well. The creek is about 30 ft.  wide and has been stocked with fish in the past and has been fished to everyone's satisfaction!

In the winter time, the trees shed leaves and there is a vertical rock bluff immediately across the creek, which has a couple of small caves with narrow openings, which ads more charm to this place. I think its magical and I havent seen anything else like it in this area.

The cabin has a 2 story great room, where the living and dining is combined...  the kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom all on the first level. The upstairs is a loft with a second bedroom and an office.  I am not sure of the square footage, its not a lot because the rooms aren't huge.

There are 3 ceiling fans and all the light fixtures are rustic and hand crafted with bears, elk and deer accents!  It comes with the appliances - a stacked W/D, refrigerator, dishwasher, range/oven and new microwave. Everyone that comes over falls in love with the place, there is really nothing quite like it around here.

The logs  are the square cut and are not just sitting on top of each other, but every 18 inches there is a long screw that attaches them to each other. So there is no chinking or caulking to ever worry about. The windows are double paned.

There is a front and rear porch, ideal for enclosing to add more square footage. The rear porch would be a fantastic sun room or a family room, and easily the largest room in the house.

There is a heat pump central heat and air.  I moved here in August 2008 and only used the air conditioner about 7 days that year.  The log fireplace has glass doors, a blower fan and there is a lot of firewood on the property, and I really have enjoyed having fires during the winter.

The full basement is 10 inch thick poured concrete and has heating and a/c vents.

It is on county water and has a septic tank.  It is wired for high speed internet. Telephone service is through LoganTele.
